The Centre for Gender and Social Policy Studies in collaboration with the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (Osun State Branch) celebrated the 2025 International Women’s Day (For all women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment) with a medical outreach session. Vital Health screenings, health awareness and education with a comprehensive guide on conducting self-breast examination. We were able to screen 251 women and 52 men for their blood pressure, blood sugar and hepatitis. The event raised awareness around health issues and also encourage women’s sexual rights in sexual negotiation and empower women to take proactive steps in managing their health.
