Olufunmilayo O. Banjo

Dr. Olufunmilayo O. Banjo is the Acting director of the Centre for Gender & Social Policy Studies (CGSPS), OAU. She bagged her Ph.D in Demography & Social Statistics from OAU in 2015. Thereafter, she proceeded on a one-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Department of Population Studies, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 2016. She is a recipient of the Consortium Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) graduate fellowship between 2013 and 2015; CARTA post-doctoral fellowship in 2016 and CARTA re-entry grant in 2017. Her research focus is on Gender issues, Women and their Reproductive Health; and Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Health. She has attended conferences, workshops and seminars within and outside the country. She also has a number of publications in reputable local and international journal outlets to her credit.
